About Rachel
“It is imperative that menopause becomes everyone’s conversation so that no woman ever has to feel alone again during this transitional time of her life.”
I have pursued my fascination with the workings of the mind and the synergy of the mind-body connection in creating positive change for more than 30 years. After studying psychology and Behavioural sciences at University, I worked in mental health, emotional wellbeing and community integration.
After a stint of working overseas as a behavioural therapist, I immersed myself in my postgraduate counselling studies whilst also working as a registered home manager, promoting independence for adults with emotional wellbeing needs.
My love of working as a counsellor and student counsellor supervisor was the impetus for years of continuous learning, qualifying as a teacher of health and social care, a hypnotherapist, analyst, psychotherapist, Brain Working Recursive therapist® Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach and working as an anxiety Specialist.
My intrigue with all things menopause came about initially through observing my mum’s very challenging experience of menopause. Then, over the years, I’ve had the privilege of many women coming to see me, women who were feeling desperate, alone and expressing a fear that they were going mad.
All of these women were experiencing unique but similar debilitating physical, emotional and psychological symptoms, and most of these women had little awareness that they were in the menopausal transition.
These courageous women, who were all searching for answers and a better quality of living were, and continue to be, the drive and motivation behind my continued learning and research into menopause, I am thankful to every single woman I have ever had the privilege of working alongside, they have allowed me to understand what works and what doesn’t in creating emotional, physical and psychological positive change in the menopausal transition.
The women I serve are the inspiration and drive behind my Mastering Your Menopause Mind programs, retreats, training, workshops, speaking events and free services too.
It is imperative that menopause becomes everyone’s conversation so that no woman ever has to feel alone again during this transitional time of her life.
